About

Our mission

Lost Loved Ones exists for the women and girls whose names the headlines forget. Black women and girls go missing every day in this country, and too often the world looks away. The coverage is thinner, the searches quieter, the urgency somehow less. We're building a community that never looks away: a home for their names, their faces, and their cases, kept visible and accessible to the people who can help bring them home.

We are not law enforcement, and we're not a replacement for it. We are the megaphone, making sure a missing person is seen by as many people as possible, for as long as it takes.
