First, and most important: if a loved one is missing right now, report it to your local law enforcement immediately, and file with NamUs, the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, at namus.nij.ojp.gov. Lost Loved Ones amplifies cases. It does not replace a police report or an active investigation.
